A bit of satire about myself: "There is a powerful tension in my relationship with technology. I love my little gadgets and knowing that I have on going access to the world wide web, that I can instantly send off a text or email. Ive learned the power of ttyl. One might say Im a little obsessed; but that only shows up when Coxs internet service is down. Then as I grab my cell phone to make the call, I tell myself that people communicated just fine before the internet. I dial and wait, hoping that I wont have to endure these feelings of isolation for long while my internet connection is unplugged. When service finally returns, I rush to check my email, sign in to Facebook, start sending texts, visit my favorite sites. Yes, the tension is great, without the service, I have no loving relationship with my little gadgets!
