I chose The Wizard of Oz - one of my all time favorite stories, books, and movies! The 1939 movie starring Judy Garland pushed a lot of boundaries and, for the time, was super innovative. It is truly magical. It used to come on TV at Easter and we never missed it. The transition from B&W to color in the film signified the magic to come.
Dorothy arrived in Oz on a tornado and was supposed to fly home in a hot air balloon but misse3d her rode and Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, sent Dorothy home in the ruby slippers. I have Dorothy - and Toto, too! - arriving via butterflies and helium balloons. But how will she leave?
