These photos were taken during our trip to Paris to celebrate 10 years together. It was a miserable trip plagued by a nasty cold and inclement weather. But worth documenting nonetheless. Thank you for looking.

And no adventure is more grand than a trip to Paris to celebrate our 10th anniversary. A lot of planning went into that weekend - my mom came to stay with the kids and time off from the office had to be arranged. And, as per Murphy's law, our best laid plans went awry when I caught a cold the night before the trip and thought it would all go away on its own. Or, in the worst of cases, I'd just go and buy some nose drops at a pharmacy in Paris. Which I had to do... only to be told that no such drops were available without a doctor's prescription.

And neither do our noses. Being in Paris on a romantic getaway meant nothing to my sinuses. I was unable to breathe and feeling terrible most of the trip, damp rainy weather not helping, but - surprisingly - not making it worse either.

Climbing the Eiffel tower is a must. Josef was mumbling something about NOT condoning this kind of non-welding technology... ha ha ha... we bought a glass of champagne on the top and really tried to enjoy it. It was cloudy and we didn't see much, and the rain and the wind meant the whole experience was rather miserable... Anyway, the box has been ticked! And it was nice to find out we could do bad holidays and still enjoy being together. Dream team all the way!
