Today’s adventures, 12/9/25:
Up at 7:30. Check email and clean it up. I don’t like for there to be more than 25 in the inbox which includes orders I’m waiting on, OScraps items that need my attention, restaurant deals...stuff like that. I always read the daily Almanac email to see if their is a quote I might be able to use in my scrapping. The OScraps links are the last thing I deal with because they tend to lead me down the proverbial rabbit hole! I’m hosting one of the challenges on the site this month, so I need to pay attention for pages that have been added so I can comment on them and write their name down for prizes that will be handed out at the end of the month.
There is always miscellaneous stuff for me to take care of as treasurer for the church, too. Today was no exception. I also started thinking of Christmas gifts to send to the grands who live at the beach and contacted their mom for ideas and got that taken care of. That required a call to Mark to watch for a verification code to allow me to access Amazon. So we also made plans for lunch. Bob, Mark’s co-worker went with us. We ate at Rancho’s. After I dropped them back off at work, I headed to High Point to Walmart to look for a 24x30 poster frame for the State Birds and Flowers puzzle that Ilene and I completed. Walmart! The place I love to hate! Of course they didn’t have the frame I wanted so I left and headed home. I needed gas and the last time I got gas at Walmart it was $2.69, but not so today! $2.89! I was pretty sure I had seen it cheaper at Kelly 109, so I decided to chance it. YES! $2.69/gallon!
At home I couldn’t even order the frame from Walmart so I could pick it up in High Point! I was going to have to go to Winston to pick it up! I’ll try Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, or Staples first!
Tonight is leftovers!
