A very simple, linear layout this time because I really wanted the journaling to be the most important part on this page.
Here's a short translation:
Summer 08. Another summer with not much hot weather. I had told you about how we would be able to go to the sea and play on the beach in Summer because then it's (normally) hot and how we would be able to make a snowman in Winter, because then it (usually) snows. But last winter there hasn't been any snow. Just like this Summer there were very few occasions to go to the beach, because of the lousy weather. Today, August 31, the last day of our summer holidays it was finally a nice hot summer day. We couldn't go to the sea because daddy was abroad for work, but we did go to the park you and I. Before we left, you insisted on taking your hat and sunglasses with you because "Today it's summer, isn't it mommy?" Yes sweetie, today is summer.
I just hope your future summers will be much more summery and your winters will be like real winters! I'm really looking forward to build our first snowman together this winter. It has to snow! But you can never be sure, here in our small Belgian country...
