been sitting on this photo for a while. it just seemed to go with my thoughts tonight. the butterfly is the tatoo i got tonight... it signifies being set free of deception and things your circumstances in life have lead you to believe... being set free into truth. i (unexpectedly) got pretty emotional about it and suddenly anyone i knew that could relate to my testimony in any way was so heavy on my heart that i was almost in tears. and of course, my sweet alyssa... oh my gosh... the fear and worry that comes with this little girl facing this world can just sometimes be too much.
JOURNALING: I thought of you today. To be honest, it doesn't really matter what day we're on. It doesn't matter what time it is or where we happen to be at any given moment. Your well-being, your safety, your comfort... it is first on my mind. I worry about you everyday. I pray that your innocence will last and that your strength will way surpass my own. I pray that your voice is loud and heard and that your sense of love and validation is given so freely by Daddy and me that it literally defines you. And when we fall short in providing any of these things, may we teach you where and how to look for and find them.
