The Cedar River runs through the town I live in, and empties into Lake Washington. There is a 17 mile trail, most of which is paved, that parallels the riverpopular with walkers, joggers, and casual cyclists (a speed limit discourages serious cyclists from riding it). The Pacific Northwest has done a wonderful job of converting abandoned railroad routes into walking/cycling pathsso much scenic nature so close to home!! It is beautiful all year round, but IMHO, at its best in autumn.
