Them Old Cotton Fields Back Home . . .

My mother grew up the oldest of ten children, on a sharecropping farm in the southern US during the great depression. She worked all day in the cotton fields, then walked home to cook supper for her ailing mother, father and siblings. It made her a strong woman, and I miss her terribly. ♥

You matched the colors in the kit with the photos *perfectly* Such a great backdrop for them, and I love the wrinkled, shabby papers!

What a great story about your mother. This page is beautiful...really soft colors and the soft cotton...and yet the very hard work. Love your title.

Your mom and mine share similar backgrounds, Betty Jo! I miss my mother, too! Great photos and lovely page! I love brown and blue together!
