The Process
This is a photo of my mother at age 19 working at the local airport. She traded hours for flying lessons. On the back of the photo she had written "Sally in office 1945." I scanned the signature and created a brush. Then I repeated the brush several times and clipped it to the photo and erased with a soft brush parts of it. I duplicated the photo and changed the blending mode to hard light and reduced the opacity. A transfer from AP Joyful (recolored with the hue/saturation adjustment) was layered between the photo with blending mode changed to hard light. I clipped all of these layers to the frame mask and then duplicated the group. I duplicated just the photo (without frame and signature) and clipped it to a warm glow. For the title work I used a word art from Christmas WordArt 10. I erased the word tree and added the word "job." Elements, artstrokes, stitchez, transfers, and title were added to complete the page.
