It's one of the most important moments in my life, but I have absolutely no idea what date it is. It's sometime end of March or beginning of April in 1997. Ubbe and I have been married for almost three year, and we've decided it's time to have a child. It's just an ordinary week day, because we've just got home from the university and I've started on the dinner. Ubbe is tired, he went to bed for a nap while waiting for dinner. I don't remember what I'm cooking, but when I stand there in the kitchen, I remember that I had bought a pregnancy test. I was late, but I wasn't expecting anything. Everyone knows it takes months to get pregnant, but just to make sure. While the dinner is cooking, I run into the bathroom and do the test. I get back to cooking, and almost forget about the test again. I go back to the bathroom to check the test ... and it's positive. Like a fool I stare at it over and over again. Yes! I'm pregnant! When the food is done, I get into the bed room to wake Ubbe. "Dinner is ready and I'm pregnant." Probably his weirdest awakening ever.
