Version:1.0 StartHTML:0000000168 EndHTML:0000002556 StartFragment:0000000469 EndFragment:0000002539 Inspiration was the multiamedia pumpkins. I had to open all my pumpkin pictures but settled on these carved pumpkins photos.

Process: I started with Artsy Template 236 but did not like the extended narrow frames. So I deleted them and added two square frames from another template. I saw a space where I thought the focal photo should go. The brush that looked like a photomask was copied three times and grouped together. Then I used Layer>Create Clipping mask to attach the photo to the mask. Then I added two color photos to the frames using Layer>Create Clipping Mask. I colored the other layers and added the solid brown paper. I did not care for the results. So I turned off all the layers except the photos. I added ArtsyPaper4 to the page because I felt this most closely matched the template layers. But I didn't like the neutral areas against the black and white photo. So I started turning on some of the layers and played with the colors, blend modes, and opacity until I got a look I like. Then I changed the blend mode of the ArtsyPaper4 to Color Burn.

I chose Multiamedia Pumpkin2.5 because the colors matched well with the black and white of the focal photo. I tilted it a little, so one of the tendrils line up with a curve on the paper and lead up to the pictures. Next, I placed the string on top of the black and white pumpkin and erased part of it, so it appeared to be slung over the pumpkin stem. I like the word art "The Story" for the title. Lastly came the story added to the journaling.

Sometimes you just have to keep working until the page works with the idea you have in your mind or your mind swings around to the page you are creating.
I love how you have included a black and white image! My eyes were immediately drawn to there!

Love how the MM pumpkin complements your Jack-O-Lantern photo collection! Fun Fall layout, Joan!
