Iceland has 13 Santas. One comes down from their home in the mountains every day from the night before December 12 until the night before December 24 - and each of them brings a little treat for the kids and puts the treat in their shoe, which the kids have put on the window sill the night before
My 6 year old just learned to write, and when Santa checked my daughters' shoes on the night of the 11, there was a little note in there. The note said (in 6 year old spelling):
"Dear Santa, can I have a lollipop and Matthildur would like a princess puzzle. You have to be careful. Lovisa Lin"
