Mary Carlisle (born in 1912):she has been selected as "WAMPAS Baby Stars" in 1932 (Of the fifteen girls selected,only Carlisle and Gloria Stuart survive).Carlisle appeared in her first film in 1930.Mary Carlisle retired from films in 1942.Seven years later,she began a second career as the manager of the Elizabeth Arden Salon in Beverly Hills.She was the standard prototype of the porcelain-pretty collegiate and starry-eyed romantic interest in a host of Depression-era films and although her name may not ring a bell to most,Mary Carlisle enjoyed a fairly solid decade in the cinematic limelight.She performed in more than 60 films.
