At the zoo in Des Moines, Iowa in May 2009. It was a rather hot day - at least for us Icelanders - and apparently also for the lions, since they just lay in the shade and were too lazy to move. When we entered a little house with a window to observe the lions' pen, the kids loved seeing one of them with all four legs propped up against the window trying to catch a little bit of coolness from the glass
