The background is pp-ViVa 1 in Pin Light mode over paper lynneanselc 02 with various scribbles and paint in between. I clipped different papers to the paint on the template to get the desired colors and added various elements and paint beneath and over. I enlarged the photo and made 2 additional copies. One copy was clipped to the photo mask and one was extracted for the OOB. With the other, I used the Content Aware Tool to remove the boy and replace with sand, then used a gradient mask to blend it into the background, and re-positioned the word art to make it appear the little boy is taking life in hand.
