2011, ten years later. The same kind of September day. A boat ride giving us breathtaking views of The Big Apple. One lone tower stood out, an eery reminder of the towers that once stood at Manhattans tip. A visit to an art exhibit a few blocks from the Ground Zero showed us what local artists created in those soul numbing days afterwards. Amazing works that took me back to my own feelings of confusion and paralyzing horror. But always, always, the reminder that hate is a void. It cannot be fought, it can only be filled.
