Inspiration – when you look at this page you may find my inspiration out of whack with the final product but sometimes journeys don’t take us where we thought we were going. I started looking at my Autumn foliage shot. This picture had been particularly popular on my 365 Project. So I put it on the page and started playing with mask and then with blending modes and from this my page emerged.

Start – New File File>New 12x12x300

Paper – Placed Solid Paper 3 over the background layer.

Photo – added my photo over the paper – I played with a few different masks but none of them were big enough to display enough of the photo. So I put only it on the page. It was over the edges on the sides but not the top and bottom. So I played with blend modes and loved the way it looked set at Luminosity. But what to do with the top and bottom edges. So I added a mask to my photo. I selected the sky and filled the selection over the mask with black. Repeated with the water but not all this time. It was working for me.

Transfer – Artsy Transfer 4 was added between the photo and the paper layer. I grouped the transfer and added a mask to the group. I used black to remove the part of the transfer the showed below the photo.

Elements – I kept simple – I used MultiMedia Autumn 1.1 which I placed in the lower right-hand corner.

Brushes – I placed the artstroke brush twice on the page then I put Brush 10 on the page and felt I had a visual triangle as the artstroke and the brush both had rounded hooks.Brush 8 I placed over the darker water. Then I secured the photo to the page with Urban Threadz Brush 8.1.

Words – Last I used the word art “Thankful for the little things in Life” for my title.
It's a very special morning when you see the reflection of the trees on the water before the fog has lifted. Love how you blended your photo.

Stunning effect on your photo! I love the touches of color created in the mask work and the pumpkins!

Nice how that transfer looks like clouds. Love the addition of the little extra color with the use of the pumpkins.
