Process
A solid paper from APP Spindrift was used as the foundation for the page. The photo of the palms was clipped to a fotoblendz mask set to color burn. The palm photo was duplicated with the blending mode changed to linear doge (add). A vector image of the extracted photo of my husband was created. (tutorial: Create vector-style images by TextureLabs, not hard, but a high learning curve for me). Transfers, splatters, dimensional embellishments and word art were added to complete the page.
VERY cook photo processing! Really makes the extraction pop! Always love what you do with palm trees! Love how that curving branch connects the elements and title.
Congratulations on the GS blog feature! This is so full of energy, and interesting lines and textures! Loving the color burst to bring focus to the subject. Such a fun technique to add to your layout. The palm tree photo coloring is awesome!
