Okay I know I am a little late to the party, but I finally tried Irenes watercolor tutorial. Loved it Thank-you so much for sharing with us all Irene.
Journaling reads: Originally the InterContinental Hotel - twenty-six stories of steel and concrete. I spent hours calculating the exact dimensions of each concrete floor panel to assure a perfect fit with no panels having square corners. When time came to erect the building, for the first time, I was in charge of overseeing the carpenters and iron workers to assure each panel was in its place. Twenty-six stories above the ground, feeling the breeze sweep past me, I had no time to think about the height, and thought instead of the energy of seeing this magnificent building go from blueprint to 3d structure. My initial love was steel, but my love for concrete grew with this job. Now, years later, a second tower has grown from the ground, and the San Diego Convention center adjoins the two. Few buildings in this town rise this high, and I feel pride each time I drive by it with admiration that I had a part in its making. Although the hotel has changed hands, in my mind it will always be The InterContinental to me.
