Back when the first SARs outbreak was hitting Singapore, we were supposed to move there for work and had already packed up and sent off all our belongings. But we delayed the move and instead went to the South of France (as you do!). It was winter, and we only had the old clothes that we were going to throw out, so glam it was not!
