While I don't intend to post my whole vacation album here (currently at 92 double pages) I wanted to share Salzburg. Although it rained the whole time we were there, it was a wonderful place. I especially enjoyed the Sound of Music bike tour

Journaling:
It was a scene that had always
intrigued me, and so very suspenseful, that scene in the graveyard of the Abbey when the Von Trapp family is hiding from the Nazis after fleeing from the concert hall. Id never seen gated crypts in a graveyard so couldnt quite understand the topography in the movie. We went through the gate of St. Peters (not the Abbey) and there it was. Well, not the actual
cemetery, but the inspiration. Even had it not been one of my favorite scenes from the movie, it was a beautiful place, well tended graves, full of color, surrounded by three churches and set against that shear cliff face of the Monchsburg.
