Process Notes: Blending two papers from Heartland for the foundation to build my layout, I placed, resized, rotated 3 masks across the bottom third of the page and merged them into one layer. After clipping the wildflower photo to the merged layer, I duplicated the photo two more times. The second layer is Soft Light at 63% opacity and the third layer has Poster Edges filter, Darker Color Blend with 18% opacity.

Choosing 2 daisies I placed them so they would look like they were a part of the photo, growing with the rest of the wildflowers. I left both on Normal blend mode but gave them a little bevel and emboss.

Placing three of the transfers from Heartland under and over the the photo, blending as needed. From there I placed the title.

It was time to add the photo of the abandoned house at the top of the page and underneath the wildflower photo. I turned it into a black and white photo using adjustment layers and the Poster Edges filter. Added glows, tissue and tape textures to the white sky above the house, to give a little interest and a sense of sunshine.

After adding the butterfly, I changed the wing colors to better match the the wildflower photo with adjustment layers. I also recolored the glow and splatter, blending the glows under the butterfly.

Finally I added the wasp and weed to the bottom right side of the layout along with the word art and hidden amongst the wildflowers I stamped a few scribble flowers. And there you have it.
Yikes! That wasp looks so real I want to swat it! Very pretty page. You did an awesome job of making me guess if the flowers are real or digi elements.

Love field barn and how you've built a field of flowers in front of it! Beautiful blending and artwork!

Love the contrast between the fresh and new and the old and run down.
