As so often happens when snow hits the Puget Sound region, we were stuck at home for about four days. But we had it good compared to so many who were without power--some for nearly a week. It was only a maximum of about six inches in our neighborhood, but enough to grind every aspect of life to a halt. I stayed in my robe and slippers two or three days! Many people lost trees, but despite heavy ice coatings, we didnt even lose any branches. Dave had to sweep snow off the satellite a few times, and we lost power for about 15 minutes. Not bad.
Definition on left page is of the word "wan." I thought this photo was a perfect illustration of a "wan winter sky."
