Journaling:
As so often happens when snow hits the Puget Sound region, we were stuck at home for about four days. But we had it good compared to so many who were without power--some for nearly a week. It was only a maximum of about six inches in our neighborhood, but enough to grind every aspect of life to a halt. I stayed in my robe and slippers two or three days! Many people lost trees, but despite heavy ice coatings, we didnt even lose any branches. Dave had to sweep snow off the satellite a few times, and we lost power for about 15 minutes. Not bad.

Definition on left page is of the word "wan." I thought this photo was a perfect illustration of a "wan winter sky."
Background colour is perfect. Love the blending and how you put it together. Can't imagine how cold it must be there.

I think that your weather must be the same as here on Vancouver Island. When we get snow it really hits hard!! Love your layout and I agree the colors you have chosen are a perfect match

Magic doublespread. Love snow-pictures!
Love the picture at left side: great crop and beuatiful placement of the defenition.

Wow! What a layout! I love these photos...and brilliant to put the definition of wan on that page!

Sharon, so glad you didn't lose power for long--your photos are stunning--especially love the one of the 3 mail boxes!
