Journaling reads Its true, life looks different in pictures. Especially with a wedding gown, its like theres almost too much to take in when experiencing the moment in three dimensions. Emma and I snapped pictures of everything, both for future reference but also so that Eva could take a moment and look at herself on the small screen and we could all get grounded. I picked Artsy Paper #2 for my background paper then added Multimedia Document 3_4, positioning my photo so that the hands of my daughters with the cell phone would be framed. To coordinate the orange butterfly to work better with the blue sweater, I duplicated it on exclusion blending mode, which gave it a jewel-tone effect. I then blended the photo into the background using a layer mask and inverted masking, fussing with adjustment layers on duplicates of the photos for better color. To warm up the background, I added Artsy Paper #3 to the top of the layer stack on overlay mode at about half opacitymasking away, with a layer mask, places where the patterning created weirdness on the photo. Likewise, for more intensity, I duplicated both the envelope and frames in the Multimedia Element and applied blending modes for emphasis. Lastly, to add some contrast and make my daughters' heads stand out more, I then dragged in yet another paperSolid Paper #4over my original background choice, rotating the border so it would be at the top rather than at the side as originally designed. I blended this with linear burn mode. For embellishments, I grabbed a few layers from Multimedia Documents 3_3 and 3_1, duplicating the flower and changing its color with exclusion blending mode, and stamped on a couple of Notebook brushes.
