I started with the photo. I used the Cut Out filter from the Artistic Filters on it. Then I made color selections with Color Range. You will find it under select. I made selections on the color tones from dark to light and copied each of those selections to a new layer. I clipped papers to them or gave them a yellow to brown solid color. You can rebuild your photo this way! Sometimes it helps to give it a small amount of Gaussian blur too!

In a new document I placed the reworked photo. I placed a background paper and added the brushes and transfers. I placed some elements, and the wordart. I extracted some text from the wordstrip simply putting it in Multiply Blendmode. I placed the stitches and the glows and used some Blendmodes on the glow too.
