Shared Moments

I love watching animals when they interact with each other. Although Pecos (the horse) is typically scared of his own shadow, he takes to Bryce, and is always close by when Bryce is running around the ranch. Often I wish I could put myself in their minds, and know what they were thinking.

The Process: I began with the background paper from LandScapeArt Paperie No 6, added the Word Frame Transfer and attached the photo. I decided to place a fotoblendz under the framed photo, changing its color and blend mode. I then added another Word Frame Transfer under the photo, offsetting it. I took just the word moments from Joy WordArt, by erasing all but the word, I then selected the pixels, and used that to mask them out of the background paper. I added a shadow to the background paper so it could be seen in the moment cutout. I backed the open word with a new layer under the background paper, filled with color. I added brushwork from ArtPlay Palette No. 10, changing their color and/or blend mode. I then added a variety of other edge overlays, changing their color and blend modes as well. I blended in a final photo of Pecos, changing its blend mode to hard light and lowering its opacity, until I got the desired look.

***thanks for looking***
The water stains remind me of thought bubbles -- like in a few moments you will know what they are thinking. Always love your story telling!

I love the lay out but most I love the interaction between dog and horse.
