Secretly

I dont know who this couple is, but as I was working on the layout, I decided to think of them secretly running away on a train together . . . properly married of course. Maybe there was religious or class differences their families couldnt get past. Conventions were so different in those days. I also think of them living happily ever after in their unknown destination.

Notes: Bringing in the photo and frame, clipping the photo to the mask. Bringing in artsy paper 2 and solid paper 1 as the foundation, blending the solid paper to overlay. Adding the label transfers and clipping transfers from the kit to them, blending the labels to color burn. Then underneath I added the train stamp to establish eye movement down the page.

Underneath these layers I added several transfers and overlays along the right side of the page and blended. I grunged up the frame with an AnnaBlendz brush and changed the shadow a little. I added a stain to the photo and also used the old script stamp and layer mask to the photo layer, to knock out a part of the photo. The architecture stamp was added underneath the left side of the photo.

The bud from the kit was added to the label/transfer at the top and blended to color burn. Over it I added the lock and key stamp and artsy paint, introducing blue to the layout. The MM Lock and Key was placed just underneath the stitching.

A style was added to the title and I added a little shadow and glow underneath the heart below the title and adding the embroidered roses. All of these are over the word art overlay. I believe that just about covers it.
wonderful idea telling a story of your own in pictures....
love the design, colours and the wonderful clustering.
the train brush is perfect.
waiting for the following chapter....

Those strong parallel lines suggested some sort of action...and then I saw the train and read the context! Terrific storytelling and I think my favorite part is the bouquet over the black heart, which suggests an intriguing backstory. Terrific composition!

such fun when we let our imagination wander... create a story... run with it... wonderfully creative page...

Love this, especially how you've framed the photo. And, yes, I do think they're on a train trip to their honeymoon in Niagara Falls.
