Ever since I could remember, I always dreamed of having two boys and a girl, just like my mom did. Prior to your birth, things were going according to plan. I had two boys and was pregnant with you. I just knew you were a girl.
But what if you weren't?
I didnt want to be disappointed if you were a boy. Its not that I wouldnt have wanted and loved another boy just as well. Its just that I really believed with all my heart that you were a girl. Daddy and I had discussed whether or not we should find out what you were. We never came to a concrete decision. So, at your 20 week sonogram, when the tech asked if I wanted to know, I had them put the results in a sealed envelope. When I got to the car, I called Daddy with the envelope in my hand. He wanted to open it. So, for the rest of the pregnancy, Daddy & I kept our little pink secret to ourselves so as not to spoil the surprise for everyone else.
