The sun really was shining through the trees onto this beautiful little church in Spain.

I opened my photo and copied it twice. Bottom layer Filter>Stylize>Find Edges and I adjusted it with Levels (Ctrl+L) to enhance the contrast. The middle layer was set to blending mode Hard Light. On the top copy I added a reverse mask (Alt+layer mask icon) and using textured brushes I painted on parts of the photo using a white brush to desired effect. I created a composite layer and duplicated it. I set the blending mode to Color Dodge. This was then clipped to a paint layer of Artsy Transfer Glacial and blended in with brushes. I imported various background papers (my normal method) and scrolled through until I found one that made the picture pop. Frames were added and various brushes used in soft purple to unite the picture and background paper. I used a distressed edge overlay and changed the colour by locking the pixels and using a white brush over it.
