There wasn't one layer in the template that didn't work with what I was doing, so I left all the layers active. For this album I am using a lot of Overlay Fotoblendz, so I dragged in one from the #13 set and positioned it for my focal photo. Because I wanted more detail of the photo in certain areas where the Fotoblendz was distressed, I grabbed a brush from the Artplay Palette and just stamped on the Fotoblendz in blackthis had the effect of filling in the distressed areas and letting more of the rug fringe and seller's djellaba show through. I then clipped my detail photos into the existing frames and added Artsy Paper #1 for the background. I chose the yellow Multimedia Element flower on the basis of the ribbon, which says from me to you, which seemed perfect for a page about sales, then slipped in a red petal from another element in the set behind it. WordART and journaling finished off this layout.
