I love that quote, although I dont believe Ms. Ghandi was referring to it in the same way I am in this layout. You have to forgive yourself in order to stop the ever-revolving cycle of self-destructive, remorseregretguilt. I believe that refusing to forgive yourself, not only leaves you feeling negatively about yourself, but it perpetuates itself in your future behaviors. Im doing a poor job explaining what I have come to accept as a truth. In other words, if you think youre mean, or selfish or introverted.whatever, you will eventually become just that and find yourself stuck. How can you be anything different than you perceive yourself? Recognize your errors, acknowledge them, and make amends if that should be the case, endeavor to try not to repeat the offense and the move on! To forgive yourself is imperative, if you want to love yourself (in the non-egotistical way, but healthfully), and therefore love others.
