remember,yes

Whenever I see a new page posted by Marleen,I just know it will be delightful. When this page popped up recently, I decided to dust off my treadle and take a photo of it. I had not used or opened it for a very long time. It was dusty, but after I removed the dust,I remembered how beautiful it was. My late husband's grandmother had one to make all of her wonderful quilts. I remember hearing the distinct humming sound as she would sew away. Thanks Marleen for refreshing those magnificent memories.

So lovely. So much history. I love how you made those drawings from the pattern company so tiny and yet they're still so recognizable and the models are posed to discuss their sewing.

Your page is equally beautiful. There is something very special about these elderly machines.

wonderful...I never thought to capture my doll machine....I must do something...!!

So interesting to see this. I used to buy the patterns myself. Using the models was inspired. I noticed too how you placed the stitches to echo the pattern on the machine itself. A wonderful memory to scrap.

Beautiful! The details in this are exquisite, especially the pattern models!
