My daughter and I took a trip last month, out to Alabama to visit my parents. We hadnt visited my parents for about 7 years, so it was nice to see them, and relaxing to not have to do anything or worry about anything, and the weather was gorgeous!!!
Journaling reads: We certainly hadnt expected 80 degree weather on our visit to Alabama in January. How glorious it was for us to relax on the front porch, listening to music, maybe a little texting to friends in San Diego, who are dealing with freezing temps. Yes I think we chose the right time to visit. The forecast even says we might have a thunder storm while here what a treat! Another rarity for San Diego.
The process: it is so easy to take one of Annas kits and create. I used one of the background papers from Annas new kit ArtPlay Palette Chatter. I added other elements from the kit, one of her new fotoblendz, which I clipped my dds photo to. I then added a few of the fotoblendz in the opposite corner, changing their color, mainly allowing just the numbers from the fotoblendz to peek in from the edges. I added a white lined overlay on top of the photo, which I decreased in size, just to add a little texture, blending it a bit. I couldnt resist adding one of Annas new Jazzed up LoopDaLoops as well, using it to encircle my dd. I finished up by adding an edge overlay, which I recolored, a few of the grid overlays from Notebook No. 1, which I changed to white, and tilted to the same angle as the white lines on the background paper. I finished up adding some of the new Urban Stitches No. 2, another love of mine. I used a messy font and created each line of text separately, so I could move it around on the white masked area of the background paper. So simple.
