Plates of broken ice lay stacked along the shore of Lake Superior. An ice breaker broke a path to allow the last ships of the season to lay up in port. My sister lives a short distance from Duluth and enjoys these brisk days. Duluth is one of the top 5 cities in the country to make claim to the coldest weather.
