Rebellious Streak

Journaling: I love my ripped up jeans! They are rebellious! I love dressing them up with heels and a crisp white shirt, or going junkyard dog grunge. Mom and Dad would not approve.

Process Notes: Going with artsy paper 1 and bringing in the photo, resizing and positioning on the paper, I used a reverse mask to hide it. With artsy paint brushes I brought it back out making sure I didnt overlap the artsy bits on the paper. I duplicated the photo and used Hard Light blend mode. I used the artsy paint brushes because I wanted the photo to look as ripped up as the jeans.

From there I added the taped textures above and below the photo.

After placing the urban leaves, I brought in the flower from Hackneyed and recolored it to match the jeans using the Hue/Saturation plus Color and Brightness adjustment layers. Over it I placed the leather bow from Dog Sampler.

Creating the title and journaling, I used the Blend Ifs on them and making sure the title was below the taped texture above the photo in the layers panel. I added the pin art heart in the title.

The butterfly, dog and wildflower was added as well as stains leading down from the butterfly and artsy parts of the paper. That completed this layout.
Love that streak of blue. It took me a few seconds to realize they were jeans. It looks like an abstract painting. Fabulous!

That blue--which looks like an abstract form at first--is hypnotic. A real smile-maker to have it morph into something very real when you telescope in for a closer look. Love the whimsy! Fashion Of The Young is certainly interesting. My little wandering minstrel has for years combined patterns in what I consider to be strange ways, so imagine my surprise when just last week, on a mall stroll, I happened to see quite a few storefronts advertising just he same look on their mannequins. Now my kid will probably evolve into a whole 'nother style. Give me ANYTHING but that gruesome Brooklyn Hipster Black!

This is just gorgeous, luv, luv, it - Luv your comment about mom and dad, my daughter-n-law had hers on visiting my mom, my mom was in disbelief - :)

Forever in blue jeans! I think they should charge less for the holes instead of more! Wonderful!
