I read somewhere once that people come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. Helen is someone who I hope is around for all three but I know for sure that two have already been met. I truly believe that Helens reason for entering my life was to teach me how important it is to make and maintain connections with people, and for me, especially, other moms in my community. Our season was shared as we helped each other through the decisions and challenges of staying home with our kids. Our dear friends and neighbors have moved to Ottawa but Helen has left a lasting impression on me. Already the distance and our hectic lives have made keeping in touch difficult but I do hope that in some way, shape or form our connection can last a lifetime
