AnnaBlendz class included some wonderful techniques on blending modes and fliters and layering up brushes and transfers and how to keep what you want and do away with the pieces that dont fit. This page is simply a mix of playing with ideas and see what unfolded on the canvas.
This page design became about repeating lines which I layered up in the brushes, stitching, frames, WordART, and lyrics of the song.
The black frame felt as if it overwhelmed the ART so it was softened by using the luminosity blending mode and by adding the transfer lace which also has the luminosity blending mode applied over some of the edges
The WordART was recolored and reach for the sky has a paperie clipped to the WordART layer to add visual interest and color
A few of the brushes over the Sunflower have the color burn blending mode applied that brought out and repeats the deep rich red color in the elements.
Stitching anchors the pieces and adds color and texture and some messy beauty
