You know how you get that song stuck in your funny little head? I had the song by the Carpenters, Rainy Days & Mondays, stuck for waaaaay too long! But it was a starting place for this designnow if I can only erase its replacementI've been working on the railroad!

Process notes:
I created a base by opening ArtsyPaper No. 3 and duplicating it. I then rotated it 90 degrees and set the blending mode to Multiply. I placed my photo of the girl with the umbrella, recolored parts of it, and duplicated it using blend modes of color burn and soft light. I wanted the design to be basically blue, so I opened a new document and added several transfers to it. I then recolored them in varying shades of blue using a Hue/Saturation/Brighten adjustment layer. Flatten the document and placed it onto of my girl layer, setting the blend mode to multiply @33%. I added the umbrella just for fun and didnt even have to recolor it, the setting on multiply did it. Added a few splatter, squiggle sand the song lyrics as final touches. Now, Im done being blue.
