Toby Wing (19152001)She took the stage name Toby after a family nickname (for a horse!).She moved to Hollywood in the 1920s.She appeared as 12-year old Nan in The Pony Express (1925).She was the last graduate of the studio's in-house high school in 1933.A natural brunette,she dyed her hair platinum blond and by 1932,at age 16,she landed rather historic place in Hollywood history as one of the original Goldwyn Girls, billed as the girl "with a face like the morning sun".Her numerous engagements became something of a joke around Hollywood.She retired from movies after marrying a pilot in 1938.They lived together until Merrill's death in 1982.Their 1st child died of what was then-termed as "Crib Death"(sudden infant death syndrome) and her second son, Ricky,was murdered in their Miami home in 1982 at age 42.His murder was related to his involvement in a large scale marijuana smuggling operation in New Orleans.
