I used only the layer mask of the template for all that I had the plan to use it more completely.
I made my photo less blue with a Hue/ saturation layer mask (blue and Cyan less saturated and lighter)I set it a Darken and it blended almost seamlessly in the background.
I placed the journaling 2 times so that it was wholly readable.
