Pompey Chimes

The restoration (and the naming process) of the Pompey chimes is finally done.
I'm not entirely pleased that Harry gets a bell. But Lord Nelson got two -- one for him personally, and one of HMS Victory.
Queen Victoria got the 4th, and John Pounds gets the 5th.
I really thought Dickens or Conan-Doyle would have gotten a bell over Harry. (I blame the Tottenham fans for messing with the web vote.)

And the Queen was in town, for the 65th anniversary of D-Day (which isn't actually until June -- but I'm sure she's quite busy.)

Manipulating a photo of her standing to get her to sit was a rather interesting task.
(I don't think I could have asked her to sit so I've have a photo better suited for extraction without risking a weekend in the Tower.)
