Journaling reads: After we bought Dusty, we decided it would be good to introduce both pets to each other. Ron, when talking to either pet about the other, refers to them as siblings - brother and sister-which always makes me laugh. When introduced, Cricket didnt quite know what to think about this new big brother- and we could tell she was stressed by the whole situation as she used her avoidance technique of turning away, and hoping that big creature would not be there any more, or when Dusty got too chose, she licked Dustys nose. Dusty, on the other hand, was very inquisitive and intrigued by this little creature - not at all afraid, and wanted to check her out, and possibly even play with her. After seeing that Cricket was a bit apprehensive about Dusty, Rachel gently eased her over to Dusty, hoping she would warm up to this big thing. It took a while, but now Cricket is buddy, buddy with Dusty - we can tell this because Cricket likes to have the comfort of us by her, and if I am in the paddock cleaning, Cricket will lay down just outside the paddock, right by Dusty. I am sure she is still a bit apprehensive, but at least she seems to see Dusty as her protector, if we are not nearby.
