I wanted to create a layout without a photo with this wonderful little palette you can get for free over the Black Friday weekend.

Process Notes: Solid paper 1 as my foundation and using the shape tool I created a 2 x 2 square, duplicating it 3 more times and arranging the squares on the page and adding a small drop shadow. I opened the rest of the papers of the palette and clipped them to each of the squares after resizing them down to fit.

Using the transfers and overlays from the palette to gussie up the solid papers, I clipped them to the solid paper squares, resizing and positioning and leaving them on Normal blend mode. I added word art to a couple of them, turning down the opacity. In the upper right square I placed the palette word art joy clipping it to the square and putting it on Color Burn blend mode and positioned under the celebrate word art and transfer. Peace and Love were added, and using Blend Ifs on the Love. I used the colors of the palette for those.

Underneath the squares I added the photo blendz mask, resizing and clipped artsy paper 2 to it, also resizing it a little and rotating until I liked the orientation. I put the mask on Darken blend mode. Above it I placed more word art from Celebrate.

From there, I added brushes in the upper left corner of the page and along the left side of the squares from the palette, recoloring them and then adding the skinny lined overlay above them in the layers panel. The dripped stains brushes were added below and at the bottom of the squares using colors from the palette.

To finish up I added the elements from the palette to the page, the button which I duplicated, butterfly, branch and ribbon.
