Every year for my dear friend's birthday, I create some hummingbird art for her. She loves those bright, shiny birds. Pattie & I worked together for almost a decade in an in-house ad agencywe used to design/create jewelry on our lunch hour and then sell it to other employees. Her technical skills amazed me. We live 1,000 miles apart nowbut still share our creative adventures. (She's doing photography againlucky me, I get to play with her photos.) Good friends always add sparkle to your life.

Process notes:
I used ArtsyPaper No. 1 as my background. I placed my photo and a Brumal FotoBlendz mask, clipped them together. I also masked out some of the mask to let more of the background show through. I duplicated the masked photo twice and used a setting of soft light on the duplicate. Added several branches to add a touch of dimension. I liked what I did, so I stopped before I went too crazy. Sometimes you just have to let the background shine.
Thanks for looking.
