In this country drought followed by flood is a constant but the last few years it has been more devastating than usual. Many years of severe drought had turned the tall timber and understory tinder dry around here.
Lightning from dry storms ignited the forests and they were torched by fires so intense there was no stopping them. Relief has come in the form of a deluge. It was amazing to see the land tranformed once again into lush green pasture. The wildlife that remains will have habitat and food once again.
