A magnificent neo-classic palace.
The palace of Anaya, based(established) in 1762, was built supervised by Jos Hermosilla. The whole building is of neo-classic style. Let us notice in particular the main facade, with its four Ionic columns crowned with a triangular front wall(pediment) and its vast flight of steps. The palace contains a patio surrounded with a double gallery, compound(made up) of 16 Doric columns on the floor below and 16 others, compound(made up) Ionic order, on the next floor up. Both floors of the building are united by a luxurious imperial staircase where thrones a bust of Miguel de Unamuno. We also call him(it): " Colegio Mayor of San Bartolom ". Actualmente be Facultad de Filologa de la Universidad de Salamanca.
