Inspiration – My love of lighthouses. This is the subject of my aA Project 2021.

Photos – I always start with the photos on my Project pages. My Photos will tell the story. I attached the photo that I wanted to be the focal point to the mask using Layer>Create Clipping Mask. Then I attached other photos to the mask layer of the frames using the same method. There are frames that only peek out from behind the others. On this page, water pictures were taken in the same area as the lighthouse photo in the frame above them. For me, I always like to post one black and white photo to give a little break from all the colors.
Template – Next I colored various layers of the template, particularly the layers of the mask to which the photo is not attached. I try in this case to match the colors to the part of the photo they are touching. I colored some of the foliage layers and the Hypster Plume.
Paper – App Sealife Artsy Paper 3
Elements – I added a sailboat, starfish, and bowstring to make a cluster.
Journaling – There are three separate journal entries, one is from the Poem The Lighthouse by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow which he wrote about the lighthouse which is my focal point. The second names the lighthouses in the pictures. Lastly is an opening paragraph to my book.
Words – I added the beaded words This Way – because that is what lighthouses do they mark the way.
I hope if you follow along you will enjoy my photos of the lighthouses – Mainly the lighthouses of Maine. (There will be a few others and there will not be every lighthouse in Maine.) The book starts in York and works up the coast to Machias. I also hope you might decide to join aA Project 2021.
