Process:
Our old dog is in failing health, and I needed a reminder to take things a day at a time. This artplay palette made me think of a paper collage I had created a few years ago, so I built the page around a scan of that. To make the composition look layered, I merged three of the four template masks together to make one big mask and clipped the scan to that, removing the frames and then applying transfer #7 on top for softness. I moved the template's fourth frame toward the top and clipped the collage scan to the mask to show the whole artwork. I also used multiple copies of transfer #7 to make the stone wall to the right.
Because the template did pretty much everything for me, most of my time went into getting the faded look of the title/wordart right. I clipped the collage scan and various papers/transfers to letters made with big blocky fonts until I liked what I saw.
The page that is going into my digijournal has journaling about our dog at the lower rightI removed that for posting.
