Journaling:
It was a beautiful sunshiny morning to go and photograph the play of light and shadows on the adobes. Until the moment when I stepped out of the car to take a quick snapshot. The door closed and locked itself. There I was stranded with my cell phone, both sets of keys and both dogs in a running vehicle. It looks like I am stranded in an isolated location miles from help. A 20 minute walk in either direction on the road would have gotten me to a source of help. I was so thankful when a golfer headed for the course had a cell phone. Den was home and fortunately knew where the plastic emergency key was stored.
1. Always keep cell phone on your person.
2. Always turn off vehicle and remove the key
3. Use a bigger rock if you really want to break the window
4. Never take both sets of keys
