JOURNALING:
"The Mickey Mouse Club" television show had a series of "shorts" dubbed "Spin and Marty" that ran from 1955-1957. It was about an orphaned rich kid (Marty) and a poor but popular kid (Spin) at a dude ranch. Leonard Geer played Ollie, the wisecracking stablehand. His "catch phrase" when he was surprised about something was, "Well, I'll be a blue-nosed gopher." It wasn't exactly a family saying, but I picked up on it and used it a lot when I was growing up.
